The Karachi Patriots beat the Stallions by 2 wickets at the Hill Park Cricket Ground on 25-10-2015 in a thrilling encouter.
Batting first, the Stallions only managed to post a modest 146 at the loss of 9 wickets. The top and middle orders failed to make any kick on and the only major contribution came from the 7th wicket partnership between Usman Ghani and Owais Gigi who scored 49 and 22 respectively. Faisal Butt and Richie picked up 2 wickets each while poor running between the wickets led to 3 run outs.
The Patriots started off the innings well with a 50 run stand for the 3rd wicket. Both Faisal Butt and Riche backed up their performances with the ball scoring 54 and 37 respectivey. It seemed like it would be an easy win for the Patriots but Hassan and Owais Ahmed took 2 quick wickets to bring the Stallions back in the game. However, 146 was just not enough on the day and the Patriots completed the chase on the last ball with just 2 wickets in hand.
