The Dollar East Cricket tournament kicked off as the Royals Cricket Club took on Maa at the Asghar Ali Shah stadium on 1-11-2015.
The Royals were put in to bat first and set an asounding total of 207 on the board. Ejaz Shah and Zakir Malik got the Royals off to a fiery start scoring 22 of 18 and 47 of just 23 balls respectively before they both were dismissed by Mohammad Idress. Umer Imtiaz then held up one end of the crease allowing Waqas Haroon to launch an onslaught on the other end scoring a stunning 86 of just 44 balls, taking the Royals to a formidable 207 in their 20 overs.
Umer Imtiaz backed up his solid performance with the bat as he got rid of both MAA openers ealry on in their run chase. Mirza Sajjad and Imran Haque worked their way back in the game before Owais Pasta scored a rapid fire half century of 29 balls to give Maa some hope. However, the regular loss of wickets on the other end and a careless run out meant that Maa could only reach 166 in their 20 overs. Amjad Manzoor was the pick of the bowlers for the Royals grabbing 2 wickets at an economy of just 6.5.
