The Viper United beat Casta by 7 wickets in the 3rd MTAX CPL match at MKCA.
Casta were put in to bat first and got off to a poor start losing both Danish Aftab and Nadeem Gulzar very early on in to the game. Opener Maroof Mubashir held up one end of the crease before a stunning middle order partnership between Rizwan Ayub and Imran Rauf. Rizwan scored a scintillating 74 in just 31 balls while Imran took 33 balls to make his invaluable 46. Muhammad Haseeb played a short cameo of 27 in just 10 balls to take Casta to 206 all out.
Despite the huge target, Viper United did not allow any scoreboard pressure get to them. Openers Mubashir Fayyaz and Asif Jawaid kicked off the innings with a 100 run stand, contributing 54 and 90 respectively. Asif's innings included some sublime strokes, as he hit 12 boundaries and 3 sixes before being bowled my Muhammad Haseeb. Owais Zafar and Kashif Humayun added their contributions to take Viper United home with 2 balls to spare and 7 wickets in hand.
