Karachi Stallions beat the Patriots by 16 runs on 15-11-2015 at the SKBZ Cricket Ground.
The Stallions batted first and set a total of 137 at the loss of 8 wickets. Shehzad Anwar opened the innings with a bang, scoring 34 of just 28 balls including 4 boundaries and a massive six. However, wickets kept toppling at the other end, creating an influx of pressure that eventually led to Anwar's dismissal at the hands of Rizwan Merchant. The Stallions innings looked like it was going nowhere until Shezad Niaz produced a splendid cameo of 36, taking the Stallions to 137 in their 20 overs. The Patriots bowling line up had worked like a well oiled machine, but the game was now in the hands of their batsmen.
The Patritots innings was opened by Faisal butt and Mohammad Afzal Ilyas, two batsmen who seemed to be in sublime form. However, a silly misunderstanding between them led to Ilyas' run out, a mistake that would in all odds determine the outcome of the game. It was all downhill for the Patriots from this point, as Abdul Samad and Hassan Ahmed broke through the entire line up. There were some notable contributions with the bat from Rizwan Merchant, Riche and Faraz but it was not enough to salvage a win for the Patriots, as they fell short by 16 runs.
