Mars Thunder took on the Classic Barbarians in the Memon Premier League at the RCLA Gulberg.
Mars Thunder elected to bat first and posted a substantial total of 170 on the board. Despite losing Ashraf Pakhali early on in the piece, Hammad Sheikhani and Ahmed Moten put on a fantastic 3rd wicket partnership. They contributed 22 and 60 respectively to their teams total to put Thunder in a strong position. The position of stregnth was cemented further by cameos of 26 and 31 by Shehryar Ghani and Muzammil Mehboob respectively, as they gathered a total of 170 at the loss of 6 wickets.
Rehan Hanif got the Barbarians going with his 22 of just 16 balls. However, wickets kept toppling on the other end as the pressure began to accumilate on the Classic Barbarians. As Asad Wahid and Hammad Sheikhani toar through the oppostions batting line up, Umair Usman put on a heroic effort for his team, scoring an unflinching 55 of just 44 balls. However, his efforts went in vain as the Barbarinans were bowled out for 129, 41 runs shy of their target.
