Big & Buy Market narrowly defeated Shamooz Stars in an SPL Season 5 match.
Opening the batting, Big & Buy’s batsmen dominated in the field. Opener Noman Ampara smashed a brilliant 96 off 67 balls, including 13 boundaries. Middle order batsmen Haris Amin (23 off 10 balls) and Adeel Sabuwala (26 off 16 balls) steadied the innings while the other batsmen made small contributions. The team reached a total of 181 runs. Shamooz Stars bowlers were put under pressure however Saad Aarbi claimed a 4 wicket haul.
Shamooz Stars’ openers were dismissed early on in the innings, making their chase difficult from the beginning. However, Haider Ali Bangash scored a phenomenal 129 off just 67 balls, including 21 boundaries. Despite his efforts, the middle-order and tail-end batsmen could not score many runs and fell short by 8 runs. Khuzaima bin Tanveer was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged 4 wickets.
