CAA clinched victory from One Step Diagnostic in a match in the 32nd Challengers Corporate Cup.
One Step Diagnostic batted first and were off to a mediocre start. One-down batsman Saad Dawood scored 48 off 47 balls, helping the team gain some momentum. His efforts were supported by Shehryar Zafar (37 off 23 balls) and Kashif Sajjad (44* off 25 balls). They amassed 167 runs. Naveed Butt and Raza Rizvi took 2 wickets each.
CAA’s batsmen started off well as both openers made meaningful contributions. Arshad Ali scored 25 off 17 balls while fellow opener Nadeem Badar played a brilliant knock, smashing 77 off 55 balls including 9 boundaries. Usman Usmani scored 46 runs off 28 balls, missing his half century by just 4 runs. Umar Riaz’s 19 runs helped the team chase down the target. The bowlers were unable to perform well.
CAA comprehensively won by 7 wickets.
