Happy Home FCC starred with both bat and ball to win a friendly match against National Foods.
Batting first, Happy Home were off to a great start as opener Hamood smashed a quickfire 87 not out off just 58 balls, including 9 boundaries. Middle order batsmen Mirza Taimur (22 off 14 balls) and Mansoor (16 off 20 balls) also made efforts to take the team to a high total. However, the tail-end could not contribute much to the score. National Foods’ bowlers Ali Nasir and Jibran Khan picked 2 wickets each.
National Foods were off to a decent start with the bat as opener Ammad Ullah scored a run-a-ball 27 runs. Ali Nasir’s 33, Amir Akram’s 25 and Syed Aneeq Khan’s 29 helped the team move forward but the inability of the remaining batsmen to contribute caused them to lose. Happy Homes’s bowlers controlled the opposition well, with Owais taking 4 wickets and Ali taking 3 wickets.
Happy Home won by 23 runs.
