Shamsher Khan Cricket Club took on Okhai Memon Jamat in the semi final of the 13th Challengers Cup at UBL Cricket Ground.
Shamsher took charge of batting first but lost Zia early on for 6. They were further jolted by the line, lengths and discipline of Yousuf who removed both Haris(23) and Rihan(9) cheaply. Usman and Sufiyan got together to restore some credibililty to the Shamsher batting line up scoring a quick 37 and 21 respectively. However Shamsher's nemisis on the day Yousuf returned to bag another couple of wickets ending up with 4 in the match to restrict Shamsher to a paltry 127 in their 20 overs.
In reply Okhai did not get off to the ideal start, losing star man Shakir for a golden duck. Bilal Omer was also removed for 10 by Farhan to give his side a ray of hope. But the partnership between Abdul Majeed and Dawood Dawson thwarted any such hopes as the pair scored freely and seemed to bat at a different pitch then everyone else. Majeed scored 51 and Dawood 46 and by the time Dawood did eventually get out, it was a little too late as Okhai Memon Jamat sealed victory by 6 wickets and are now one step away from lifting the trophy.
