JWT met National Refinary Limited at the Young Fighters Ground in a high level corporate match.
JWT, batting first, got off to a shaky start as they lost Farooq and Naseem for single digit scores. Saqid Ahmed and Adam then got together to string some sort of a partnership. After doing all the hardwork initially, Saqib threw his wicket away, playing a rash shot against Faisal who cleaned him up to pick his first of three wickets on the day. Adam scored an impressive 39 at a strike rate of 150 to give the innings some much needed impetus and late order cameos eventually meant that JWT ended up with a par 144 for 7 off their 20 overs.
In reply, National Refinary got off to a confident start as Azam and Khursheed milked the singles and struck the occasional boundary. Azam fell for a well made 24 and Khursheed for 38 off 32 balls to give JWT some hope. But any dreams of a potential victory quickly eroded as Ammar(33) and Shams(35) stood at the wicket till the end to make sure NRL achieved the target without any further drama and won the game by 8 wickets.
