Fidato Cricket Club faced their latest challenger in the form of M.C Gymkhana at their home ground SKBZ.
Fidato batted first and captain fantastic Rehan Sheikh was in fine form as he blazed to 70 off 35 balls, striking at 200, an innings that included 7 fours and 5 massive sixes. Unfortunately for him though, support from the other end was limited as Imran, Shiraz and Ather all fell cheaply. Tauseef, Babar and Asim all made 30s to restore the balance late on as Alamgir's 5 wicket haul was nullified and Fidato managed to score 230 even though they couldn't bat out their full quota of 25 overs.
The chase was always going to be difficult and M.C failed to handle the scoreboard pressure. Farhad top scored with 35 off 44 and three other batsmen made scores in the 20s to barely take the team over a 100. For Fidato Jasim, Babar and Uzair picked up two wickets each and their discipline meant that Fidato won this one comfortably by 96 runs to continue their good run at SKBZ.
