Wintex Strikers v TNN Titans
5th MPL t20 Tournament (Semi-Final)
TNN Titans batted first and were off to a flying start with opener Shakir Serang scoring an explosive 56 runs. The rest of the team however were unable to build on the solid foundation and threw away wickets too frequently through out the innings. Sameer Ahmedani, Zeeshan Fattani and and Danish Aziz picked up 2 wickets each to handicap the opposition. Contributions by Owais Pasta (23) and Shaaz Shajani (19) helped boost the Titans to 154 in 20 overs.
Wintex Strikers had a horrible day with the bat! Yousuf Jetpur and Abdul Samad were merciless with the ball, picking up 7 wickets between the two of them. The Strikers stumbled in their chase through out the innings, losing wickets frequently. Adnan Salim was the only notable batsman, scoring 43 runs for his side but had no support from the rest of his side. Wintex Strikers were reduced to 124 in 20 overs.
TNN Titans won by 30 runs and cruised to the final.
