Thunder Knights Score Big to Win

Thunder Knights dominated against A & D Dawson to seal victory in a match in the SPL Season 5.

Batting first, Thunder Knights struggled as their openers were dismissed for scores of just 4 and 9. However, their middle order responded brilliantly with the bat. Ahmed Asif scored 37 off 23 balls while Nisar Khan scored 37 off 28 balls. Jamil Agha stabilized his side with a superb 80 off 51 balls, including 8 boundaries. They amassed an exceptional 193 runs. A & D Dawson’s bowling attack was weak in the face of the batsmen and could not restrict the side.

In the second innings, A & D Dawson were off to a great start. Their opener Ahmed Kabir played a wonderful knock of 60 off 36 balls while Saim Raees made 16 off 14 balls. One-down batsman Zain Siddiqui made a half century to try to take his team over the line but once he was dismissed the batting line up deteriorated. They only managed 153 runs, and Thunder Knights’ Zohaib Baghdadi’s 4 wicket haul put pressure on them.

Thunder Knights won by 40 runs.
