Zam Zam Sports v Vanthali Blue
2nd Late Al-Amin T20 Tournament
Zam Zam Sports batted first and were off to a flying start with opener Fida Khan scoring a blistering 40 runs at a strike rate of 222. The team lost a few wickets after but remained in control of the innings at all times. Rafiq Khatak stepped up to score a match-winning 76 runs, decimating the bowlers and setting his team up for a massive total. Naveed Nagdha bowled well for Vanthali Blue, striking at key times and picking up 2 wickets. The runs continued to flow however and Zam Zam Sports eventually posted a competitive target of 192 in 20 overs.
In response, Vanthali Blue were off to a dream start with opener Aamir scoring an incredible 81 runs at a strike rate of 213. The dream however turned into a nightmare after he lost his wicket as the rest of the team were unable to recover and contribute to their side. Wickets fell very regularly and the bowlers did well to restrict the flow of runs. Akram Khan and Bakht Gul lead the attack, taking 2 wickets each and handicapping the opposition. Some brilliant piece of fielding and terrible running between the wickets also lead to 3 run outs, doing further damage to Vanthali Blue. They were eventually bowled out for 167 in 19.4 overs.
Zam Zam Sports won the tournament by 25 runs.
