Karachi Stallions batted first and fumbled throughout the innings. The team lost their top 3 batsmen early on in the innings and were reeling at 15/3. Zohaib then stepped in to score a scintillating 53 runs to lead his team to recovery. Hannan Ahmed provided further support, contributing a valuable cameo of 35 runs to stabilize the innings. 7 of the Stallions batsmen were out for single digits and were completely outdone by an aggressive display of bowling. Mudassir Malik was the star bowler, striking at key times and handicapping the opposition. He also took 4 crucial wickets. Ahmed Katchi did further damage, taking 3 huge wickets to bowl out the Stallions for 153 in 20 overs.
In response, Benitoz were off to a dream start with opener Tabish Raza scoring 50 runs to set the momentum for his side. His partner Ahmed Katchi also contributed a cameo of 35 runs. Once their wickets fell however, the team completely fell apart. None of the other batsmen were able to significantly contribute with 4 of the batsmen being out for single digits. Stallions bowlers Shezad Niaz and Hassan Ahmed bowled with heart, taking wickets and restricting runs. The duo took 7 wickets combined and sealed the victory for their side. Benitoz were limited to 146 runs in 20 overs.
