Rising Eleven defeated Soldier Cricket Club in a match held on Sunday.
Rising Eleven batted first and played well as opener Rehan Hanif amassed 49 runs off 43 balls and fellow opener Sufiyan Bhojani scored 15 off 12 balls. Owais Bhojani’s 30 off 31 balls added more runs to the team’s score. Small contributions from the remaining batsmen helped the team reach a total of 157 runs. Fahim Saify claimed 2 wickets.
Soldier CC were off to a good start with the bat as Amir Ali made 27 off 26 balls and Mudassir Saeed made 24 off 14 balls. Qasim Palijo also contributed 15 runs to the team’s score. However, the batting lineup was unable to chase down the target and skittled out for just 102 runs. Salman Asif bagged 3 wickets while Khalid Zubair and Rehan Hanif took 2 each.
Rising Eleven won by 55 runs.
