Debonair Fashion and Salon defeated FC Sports in the last over of a match held in the Power Play Cricket Night League 2020.
Batting first, FC Sports were off to a good start as their opener Mohammad Daniyal Liaquat smashed 45 off 31 balls, including 7 boundaries while Ibrahim Sheikh contributed 13 runs. Haris Zakir scored 15 runs after which the batting lineup was unable to make meaningful contributions. Muhammad Ali’s cameo of 23 off 18 balls offered some resistance to the bowlers but the team only reached a mediocre total of 132 runs. Ali Naveed and Madni Waqas Raja bagged 3 wickets each.
Debonair lost an early wicket but responded well as Talha Shehzad hit 47 off 43 balls. Middle order batsmen Zubair Ahmed and Madni Waqas Raja scored 20 and 31 runs respectively, helping the team’s chase become easy. The team was able to chase down their target with 4 wickets in hand, although it came down to the last over. Anas Badar took 3 wickets for his side.
