Thunder Knights defeated Shamooz Star in a match in the Shaikhani Premiere League 5.
Shamooz Star batted first and struggled at the start as their openers were dismissed for a golden duck and 7 runs respectively. However, one-down batsman Haider Ali Bangash played a fantastic knock of 92 off just 63 balls, including 10 boundaries. He partnered with Ali Naveed, who swiftly scored 62 off 47 balls to bring their team to a total of 166 runs. Syed Imran Haider from Thunder Knights bagged 2 wickets.
Thunder Knights were off to a good start as opener Ismail Shah smashed 39 off 24 balls while Rameez Mehboob made 19 off 14 balls. Mir Fahad Khalid contributed 24 runs and Jamil Agha played a brilliant innings of 63 not out off 28 balls, including 8 boundaries. He played an integral role in taking the team over the line. The team successfully chased down their target. Umer Chawla took 2 wickets but the rest of the bowlers struggled to restrict the team.
