Karachi Patriots batted first and were off to a reasonable start. Openers took their time to form a solid opening partnership. Merchant and Ayaz Bhesania were in no hurry as they milked the bowlers and kept the scoreboard ticking. But unfortunately for Karachi Patriots their middle order collapsed without much contribution. Their innings was going nowhere until Tayyab Balagamwala and Rehan Hanif got together. They hit some lusty blows to give their team a much needed boost. Both scored quick-fire 30s. Afridi was the pick of the bowler as he picked 3 wickets for 39 in his 6 overs. Eagles Cricket Club did not begin their innings in an ideal fashion, Hassan Zaidi and Jaleel were dismissed quite early in the innings and it allowed Rehan Nazim to come in. Rehan Nazim started putting pressure on Karachi Patriots and smashed the bowlers all around the park. He was supported by Idrees Durrani who kept the strike rotated to make sure Rehan Nazim faces maximum number of balls. Rehan Nazim played a great innings of 60 of just 46 balls before he was dismissed by Sameer Ahmedani. Even after a great innings by Rehan Nazim the match was still in balance and Karachi Patriots were still in the game but Haddi's cameo took the game away from Karachi Patriots. It was a match winning knock from number 7. He batted with a massive strike rate of 240 and scored crucial 36 to take his side to victory.
