Gulshan Becks faces Classic XI in this thrilling 20 over match. Batting first, Gulshan Becks were off to a superb start as both openers easily gathered runs. Taha Abidi looked in great form as he smashed 3 sixes and 5 fours in his 25 ball knock which resulted in 46 runs. He was supported by Jibran Rufi, who played an exciting knock of 67 runs which came off in just 38 balls. Jibran scored a total of 10 boundaries which included 2 sixes. Such a solid start was not cashed as much as it should have been, by the following batsmen. Though it was a batsman’s day but Moiz and Usama still managed to get 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Gulshan Becks scored 183 runs for the loss of 7 after 20 overs.
After a high scoring first innings, a shaky style of play was displayed in the second innings. Classic XI was not able to get a good start, which resulted in an enormous pressure for the upcoming batsmen. Abdullah was the top scorer with 27 runs while the rest of the batting lot failed to score at par with the required run rate. The bowling was formidable as all the bowlers chipped in and created problems for batsmen. Zohaib Khan took 3 wickets, Atif got 2 wickets while all the other bowlers grabbed a wicket apiece and Classic XI were all out for 119 runs in the 18th over. Gulshan Becks won comfortably by 64 runs.
