JWT vs GROUP-M

JWT and Group-M clashed in this friendly fixture and produced excellent cricket. JWT batted first and were off to a slow start as the opening partnership could not gather much runs. But a phenomenal partnership in the middle order by Bilal and Saqib Basharat, put JWT in a commanding position. Bilal scored 38 runs off 35 balls while Saqib scored a brilliant half century. Saqib took 47 balls to score 55 runs. Zain was the pick of the bowlers as he got 5 wickets for 18 runs. JWT scored 147 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after 20 overs.
Group-M started their chase in a shaky manner as the batting lineup failed to impress from the word go. Opening batsman Aftab was the only player to get some runs as he scored 25 runs off 16 ball. The batting lineup collapsed and failed to counter the immaculate bowling of JWT. Munib was the pick of the bowlers with his superb spell which ended with figures of 3 wickets for 3 runs, he was assisted by Babar Fayyaz who got 4 wickets for 15 runs. It was the 17th over when Group-M were all out for 100 runs. JWT won the match by 47 runs.
