Brother United Vs Crushers (Khas and Viper Premier League Season 2)
A fantastic batting display followed by an impressive bowling effort ensured an easy victory for Uniteds against Crushers by 55 runs.
Brother united batted first and when their openers came out to bat they were on a role. It was like a dream start for Uniteds as their openers stunned the opposition with their hard hitting and aggressive approach. Crushers looked dull and gloomy in the field and they had no answers for the questions asked by the Uniteds openers. With 2 mighty sixes Adnan was the major contributor in the opening partnership as he scored 73 of just 46 balls. On the other end Adnan’s opening partner Yousuf quietly made a very well-constructed 34 and they both gave their side a perfect platform. After dismissing the openers, Crushers came back strongly and exposed the middle order of Uniteds with their fine bowling. The comeback was led by Noman who picked up 4 wickets but not until Waqas came in, he from the very word go started smashing the bowlers all around the park and in the lower middle order United wanted someone to play a similar role. Waqas was in menacing form and he hit 3 huge sixes during his blitz of 66 which came of just 35 balls. This effort gave United a very big total of 203.
The second innings for the Crushers was a more disappointment then the first. They were hoping for a better response from their batsmen then they got. Both the openers were dismissed quite early in the innings and they never really recovered from it. Though, Shiraz Shakeel fought a bit with his fine 50 which included 3 mighty sixes but he was the only one who was fighting out for his side. He got very less support from the others and this did not allow Crushers to build any sort of momentum. The bowling was also quite impressive with Yousuf and Usman picking up 2 wickets each to restrict the Crushers to just 148.
