Suparco Vs AJM Construction (20 Over Match)
A nail biter went till the very end and it was Suparco who held their nerves to come out on top just by 5 runs.
Suparco batted first and were off to a poor start as they lost their openers quite early in the innings. Wahab and Rafiq then got together and constructed a much needed partnership for their side. Both batted with purpose and milked the bowlers around and smashed the loose balls for boundaries. Rafiq smashed 2 sixes during his innings of 46 whereas Wahab scored 36 with 6 fours. After their dismissal the innings was ended in a great fashion by Tariq who scored 33 with 1 four and 1 six. This effort took Suparco to a defendable 160.
The pressure of chasing was telling on the faces of AJM batsmen and it got onto their opening batsmen as they lost early quick wickets which pushed them on the back foot. The bowlers from Suparco came hard at the batsmen and they kept losing wickets only Waqas Yamin held one end but he kept losing partners at the other end. He was fighting a lone battle but he kept on going. He made a very valuable 58 with 1 six. But unfortunately for he was dismissed soon after that. No one else could really stay at the crease longer which meant that AJM fell short just by 5 runs in a closely fought contest.
