Classic Barbarians Vs Starwood Properties (ACM Gold League Night)
A tremendous way to defend the total by unleashing a powerful bowling attack, Classic Barbarians charged their way to victory.
Classic Barbarians batted first with Kamil Mehmood and Mansoor Ali Khan as their opening pair. Both of the players, played their part by adding decent runs on the scoreboard for their side, also they gave a push start to their team. They carried a partnership of 50 runs. Later on Umair Usman and Saad Ahmed contributed to the total by adding 49 runs in total for their side. Rest of the batting order was not able to perform much and that led Classic Barbarians to score a total of 137 runs in 20 overs. Maaz Naveed was the key bowler for Starwood, picking up 3 wickets for himself.
The second innings started off with a disappointing event for the Starwood Properties, where Maaz Ismail wasn't allowed to do much with the bat and was dismissed on an early stage. But Rehan Malik rose up to the occasion, and knocked the ball around and scored 33 runs for his side. The Barbarians were in no mood of losing that day, and they came out ferociously at the challenging team. The entire top and middle order was demolished by the strong bowling attack of the Barbarians. Kamran Butt was the last batsmen who scored 27 runs for the Starwood Properties. Osama Ayub and Rehan Hanif were flying all over the place with their brilliant balling skills, and each of them picked up 4 and 5 wickets respectively for themselves. Starwood Properties was bowled out at a total of 130 runs giving Classic Barbarians the win by 7 runs.
