Gigi Gladiators batted first and were off to a flying start with opener Fahad Jabbar smashing 48 runs at a strike rate of 137. His partner Shakir Serang also provided support on the other end, scoring a valuable 24 runs. With a foundation set, the momentum was in favor of the Gladiators before the Wintex bowlers fought back. Faisal Butt lead the attack, picking up 2 wickets but perhaps Sameer Ahmedani's spell of 4 wickets was the key factor in limiting the opposition. He only gave away 15 runs, picked up a wicket and cleaned up an economy rate of 3.75. Gladiators bowlers were unable to recover, losing wickets too frequently to retain the flow of runs. They eventually posted a target of 136 in 20 overs.
Wintex Strikers were off to a rocky start in the chase, losing opener Faisal Butt for just 7 runs. His partner Talha Ahmedani scored 36 runs but received no support on the other end.The team lost wickets in quick succession with the middle order unable to contribute runs with the bat. It was the heroics of Adeel Abbasi and Muhammad Ahsan Zafar that lead the team to recovery with match winning knocks of 36 and 40 runs respectively to pull their team back in the game and over the line. Gladiators bowler Salman Asif bowled an incredible spell of 4 wickets to rip through the Strikers batting line up, fighting hard to defend his team's total. Wintex Strikers chased down the target in 17.5 overs.
