Gladiators C.C Vs Cocoon Home (ACM Day T20 League)
Cocoon Home brutally dismantled the Gladiators C.C with a lethal bowling attack in the first innings and the final blow was thrown by the opening batsmen to celebrate victory.
The first innings started off as Gladiators C.C sent their opening pair to bat against the Cocoon Home. Shahzad Tareen and Hassan Faddoo started off with a brilliant partnership by scoring 40 runs. They gave their side a decent start and got the scoreboard running. But they weren't allowed to keep their form up and were dismissed by the lethal bowling attack of the Cocoon Home. Later on Kamran Salam and Wajhat Emad carried a partnership of 48 runs. Mohammad Arafat was the star batsman for his side and scored 51 runs. He played some amazing shots hit 5 massive sixes. Rest of the batting order was demolished by the Cocoon Home bowling attack. Khalid Butt picked up 3 wickets in 3 overs and Yasir Manzoor bowled an outstanding spell of 3 overs and picked up 4 wickets. Gladiators C.C were bowled out at a total of 159 runs in 19 overs.
Cocoon Home was off to a rocking start with the opening pair. Irfan Khan started off with some amazing strokes, where he hit 7 boundaries and 4 massive sixes. He scored 66 runs off 41 balls. On the other hand, Bilal Chinioty backed him up and scored 48 runs off 29 balls. Both of the players were in top form and covered half of the chase for their side. Gladiators C.C tried hard to stop the Cocoon Home in their tracks. Mohammad Uzair managed to pick up 3 wickets. Later on in the innings, Khalid Butt scored 22 runs and stayed on the pitch till the end to get his team through to the win. Cocoon Home chased the target in 18 overs and won the match by 5 wickets.
