A&B batted first and were off to a dismal start losing 2 early wickets to Osama Zia which rocked them back in the initial overs. On the other hand, Bilal Ahmed was playing on a different wicket as he was in magnificent touch and timed the ball sweetly during his fabulous knock. His knock of 71 held A&B’s innings together,but he kept losing partners until he was joined by Saad Ali. If Bilal Ahmed’s effort was good, then Saad’s effort was even better as he batted with an unbelievable strike rate of 304. He hit 6 maximums in his effort of 73 runs which came of just 24 balls. The partnership between the duo was the bowler’s nightmare and they had no answers. Osama Zia picked up 2 wickets but was unable to stop the onslaught. A&B in the end posted a target of 192 runs.
In response, Steel 11 got off to a flying start on the back of Hamza and Faisal’s perfect opening partnership which gave them a perfect opportunity and put them on track. They scored 65 and 32 respectively. Hamza Jameel was a man on a mission and he was proving to be a real threat to A&B as he smashed 65 of just 20 balls with 6 mighty sixes. Tahir Buksh picked up his price wicket. After them middle order resisted a bit with Abdullah and Raza scoring in 20s, they added more than 40 runs together and pushed their side closer to victory. Haseeb Nadeem and Tahir Buksh picked up 2 wickets each to rattle the opposition. The match entered in an exciting phase when Rizwan played a little cameo of 17 but it was not enough as A&B held their nerve and in the end restricted the opposition to 186 and won by 6 runs.
