National Foods batted first and were off to a reasonable start as their openers, Irfan and Jibran provided them with good platform. Irfan in particular was in terrific form as he batted with a strike of 200 and scored a valuable 22 of just 11 balls with 2 fours and a six. Once the openers were dismissed the innings was carried forward Farrukh and Ali. Both contributed heavily and added some crucial runs with the bat. They added more than 90 runs together. Farrukh Saeed scored 41 of 34 balls whereas Ali Nasir scored 53 of 47, both of them smashed 1 six each. The bowlers also did a decent enough job by letting the match slip out of their hands, Abdullah was the highest wicket taker and was the most economical bowler as well as he picked up 2 wickets at a strike rate of just 4.75.
Bakka Sports in response, were off to a flyer as their openers utilized the power play to its fullest. Tariq and Bilal were in dazzling form with the bat. Tariq specifically scored 33 of 21 balls with 6 fours and his partner Bilal scored 11 of 6. Once they were dismissed the middle order batsmen, Kamran and Faisal build up a crucial partnership, they scored 39 and 47 respectively. Faisal scored most of his runs in boundaries and at a quick rate, out of his 47, 32 came out from boundaries as he scored 5 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 180. In the end, Salman played a little cameo of 15 runs to take his side to victory and comfortably in just 17.4 overs.
