Karachi Fighters batted first and were off to a reasonable start even after losing Kamran quite early in the game, Taimoor and Noman helped them recover well with their partnership. Taimoor scored 26 of 15 balls whereas Noman scored 34 of 31 balls. Once they were dismissed, Nazeer Hussain came back in the game as they picked up a few quick wickets and exposed the middle order of Karachi Fighters. The innings was going nowhere but again Ikhtiyar Shah’s little cameo give them something to cheer, he scored 22 of 17. The lower order was cleaned up by Faizan and he only needed 5 balls to do it, he picked up 3 wickets to restrict Karachi Fighters to just 130.
In response, Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were off to a poor start as well, they lost their opening pair quite early without much contribution, this gave some hope to Karachi Fighters but all their hopes were shattered when Farhan and Farukh got together and their partnership help them set up victory for their side. Farhan Asif scored 31 of 23 whereas Farukh Rizvi scored 51 of 42 balls both batted with a very good strike rate. Hassan Qazi after them played a little cameo of 20 to end Karachi Fighter’s misery as they were beaten quite comprehensively by 5 wickets only in 16.3 overs.
