Hush Puppies batted first and were off to a decent start with their top order contributing runs to keep the scoreboard ticking. Cameos by Danish, Waqas and Farhan did well to set the foundation for their side scoring 26, 30 and 24 runs respectively. After they were dismissed, Khurram Saleem stepped in with an explosive 48 run innings which included 3 boundaries and 3 maximums at a strike rate of 240! AnB bowler Tanveer Mehboob was the star performer for his side, leading the attack with 2 wickets to his name. He was further supported by Haris, Asif and Roman who made breakthroughs picking up a wicket each. Hush Puppies eventually set a target of 167 in 20 overs.
AnB opener Bilal Ahmed was a show stopper for his side with a fiery 83 run knock that consisted of 7 boundaries and 2 maximums. It was a shame that the rest of his side completely fell apart! Hush Puppies bowlers worked as a unit, with beautiful line and length, picking up wickets in regular intervals and limiting the flow of runs. Waqas Ali Vohra lead the attack, picking up 2 wickets. AnB were limited to 160 runs in 20 overs.
Hush Puppies won by 7 runs and secured a place in the final.
