ICT Vs Strikers CC
ICT batted first against the Strikers CC in the first innings of the match. Adeel Khan and Talha Ahmedani scored a 39 runs partnership followed by Taqi Azad and Ibaad Khan’s 63 runs partnership. Both of these pairs gave their side a decent total on the scoreboard. Rest of the batting order failed superbly to score any runs at all that could have made a difference on the scoreboard. Bilal Manzoor was the last player to score 16 runs. The reason why most of the batsmen failed to score was because of the tremendous bowling attack of the Strikers CC who stopped the batsmen in their tracks. Waqar Saleem was the highest wicket taker with 4 wickets to his name, followed by Abdullah who picked up 3 wickets. ICT scored a total of 162 runs in 20 overs.
Waqar Saleem proved his worth on both sides of the pitch, first he picked up 4 wickets and in the second innings he gave his side a decent start by scoring 22 runs. Waqas Vakil was the third man in and he scored 32 runs off 25 balls. Saad Shah backed up his team mate and scored a beautiful 36 runs for the team. Strikers CC were doing well with the bat and seemed to be in a position where they could’ve easily chased the target. Yasir Tanveer was the highest scorer from his team with 57 runs to his name. He battled till the last ball and remained not out but his efforts went in vain and his team ran out of overs after reaching 159 runs. It was a close call for both sides, and in the end the best team emerged victorious.
ICT won by 3 runs.
