Adamjee batted first and were off to a reasonable start as their openers, Rameez Mehboob and Nasir Khan milked the bowlers and batted well in the initial overs. Rameez scored 16 off 15 balls with 2 fours whereas Nasir scored 11 off 14 with 2 fours as well. After a good beginning, Rehan Athar came and took advantage of the platform and batted with supreme confidence. He was the star of the innings, and played a handy knock for his side without much trouble. He batted with a strike rate of around 157 and smashed 2 sixes and 7 fours during his 71-run knock which came off just 45 balls. He did not get much support at the other end, and on his own he took his side to 148. On the other hand, Asad Ali bowled a brilliant spell as he picked up 4 for just 19 in his 4 overs.
Even after the heroics of Rehan, the target was not the most difficult one. TRG started sensibly and build the momentum with their openers. Faizan and Mohsin utilized the initial overs and did not throw their wickets away. Mohsin scored 13 off 10 balls whereas Faizan smashed 38 off just 23 balls with 7 fours and a six. After the dismissal of both openers, Arsal Ali and Tauseef Ahmed propelled the score forward and scored 19 and 18 respectively. The innings was going on smoothly for TRG and Sabih Ahmed also made sure that there are no dramas in the later stages of their chase. Sabih scored a crucial 27 off 24 balls to guide his side to a comfortable victory.
TRG chased the target down in 18.2 overs at the expense of 6 wickets.
