Bohra CC v Shabab Whites (Test match)
Bohra CC batted first in the 1st innings of the test match losing opener Idrees for duck. However, Aamir Hussain and Naeem Tayyab lead the recovery with impressive knocks of 29 and 56 runs respectively. Naeems innings in particular was a memorable one with 7 boundaries and 1 six. Shabab bowlers picked up wickets but they were few and far between. Bohra CC scored 116 runs in the first 10 overs.
In response Shabab Whites were outdone by a fantastic display of bowling. Ali Asghar knocked 27 runs but the team struggled to keep their wickets intact and find their momentum. Only Mustafa and Abid managed to scored 18 and 17 respectively while the remaining batsmen fell apart. Huzaifa, Naeem, Ammar and Hussain took 2 wickets each. Shabab Whites ended at 82 all out in 9.2 overs.
Bohra CC lost opener Murtaza early on for just 7 runs but Huzaifa Mandvi lead the innings with an impressive 39 runs to pull his team back in the game. Naeem and Aamir also contributed 17 runs each. Shabab Whites bowler Hatim did well to limit the opposition taking 3 key wickets with Hussain added further damage with 2. Bohra CC ended at 121 for 7 in 20 overs.
Shabab Whites opener Ali Asgher was on fire with 45 off just 20 balls including 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. He was however alone in his fight as the rest of the batsmen threw away their wickets with only Mustafa scoring a significant 16 runs. Huzaifa, Aamir and Hussain struck effectively taking 2 wickets each with with Ammar and Naeem also chipping in with 1 wicket. Shabab Whites ended at 88 for 8 in 10 overs.
Bohra CC won by 67 runs.
