Dastagir Strikers came head to head with the Karachi Ke Jawan in a friendly match played at the Al Mansoora Ground.
Batting first, Dastagir Strikers were off to a confident start despite losing opener Ahmed for just 1 run. Fellow opener Yawar Inayat, played a responsible innings of 31 runs in 40 balls to set the momentum for his team. His innings only included 1 four. Karachi Ke Jawan bowlers bowled well throughout the innings with Muhammad Asad and Syed Mairaj picking up 2 wickets each for 20 and 19 runs respectively. Dastagir Strikers ended their quota of 20 overs at 134 runs for the loss 8 wickets.
Karachi Ke Jawan began their chase in a hesitant manner, losing their top 6 batsmen in single figures. However, Wali Mustafa played a blinder of an innings, scoring 55 runs in only 28 balls, with 9 fours and a six to bring his team back into the game. Team mate Anas Rehman contributed with 21 runs with 2 boundaries. Nevertheless the Dastagir Strikers bowling line up did not lose hope and continued fighting with Sonu picking up 4 wickets for just 17 runs. Yawar Inayat and Muhammad Usama Hanif also picked up 2 wickets each to restrict their opposition to 112 runs only.
Dastagir Strikers won the match by 22 runs.
