Dawson Stars batted first against Nendo Fashion at a match of the 18th Challengers cup on Sunday. The team however struggled to gain stability, losing quick wickets throughout their innings. After the top order was dismissed cheaply, Dawood Dawson stepped up to try and save his side with a fighting knock of 30 and despite some cameos by the rest of the squad, none of the batsmen were able to keep their wickets intact and build an innings. Rizwan Ahsan lower down the order chipped in with 24 as Dawson Stars ended at 131 for 9 in 20 overs. For Nendo Fashion, Hasan Shahab shined with the ball picking up 3 wickets in his spell. Salman Khan also picked up a couple to restrict the opposition.
In response, Nendo Fashion dominated with the bat with M. Ali in particular rising to the occasion. The opener smashed 52 off 41 to set up a comfortable victory for his side. Asfand Younus and Azhar Khan also contributed 36 not out and 20 respectively as Nendo Fashion chased down the target in 18.2 overs. Dawson's bowlers were ineffective with only Waqar and Hammad picking up a wicket each.
Nendo Fashion won by 8 wickets.
