Gondal United batted first against Vanthali Warriors at the 1st qualifier of the Memon Cricket League (MCL) but nothing could go their way on this night. Vanthali's team were in form and on fire, lead by a very charged up Naveed Nagda who ensured that his team were merciless against the opposition.
Openers Talha Ahmedani and Bilal Dewan knocked 17 and 16 respectively before theyr were dismissed. Saad Siddique also contributed 27 runs but the team were unable to build an innings and keep their wickets intact. Shahid Nepal was lethal in his spell, picking up 3 wickets to rip through the batting line up. Vanthali bowlers did well to take wickets when needed and pull back the flow of runs. Yasir Ahmedani also scored 24 runs but a flurry of quick wickets ensured that Gondal United were restricted to just 113 runs in 20 overs.
With a low total to chase, Vanthali Warriors wasted absolutely no time. Openers Muzammil Mehboob and Rameez Mehboob got the job done in 8.2 overs scoring 41 and 58 runs respectively. No wickets fell in the innings.
