What fitting qualifier at the Memon Cricket League (MCL). Vanthali Warriors batted first against Bantva Lions in a fantastic match between the two sides. Muzammil Mehboob came out in full form smashing 68 runs. Khurram Wahab and Farrukh Rangoonia kept the momentum going with knocks of 27 and 39 runs respectively and despite wickets falling, Vanthali Warriors posted a competitive 165 for 5 in 20 overs. For Bantva, Muhammad Waqas took 2 wickets while Rabish, Bilal and Abdullah took a wicket each.
In response, Bantva faced a tough time in the chase after losing star opener Fahad Jabbar. Things did not get any easier for the side as they continued to lose wickets regularly with the exception of Umair Yousuf who delivered on the day. His match winning 77 came off 47 runs and included 8 boundaries as he remained not out to lead his side to victory. For Vanthali, tournament lead wicket taker Naveed Nagda picked up a wicket, Shahid Nepal and Hamza Shahnawaz took 2 wickets each and Naveed Rangoonia and Salman Dossani also chipped in to take a wicket each. Bantva Lions however eventually made it across the line.
Bantva Lions won by 2 wickets and now face Kutiyana Kings in the final of the MCL.
