Karachi Gladiators batted first against Benitoz Panthers with Sami Afridi being the stand out player of the match! The opener got things started with an outstanding century knock of 116 off just 62 balls including 9 boundaries and 8 sixes. The party kept going for the Gladiators with Rabish Ahmed and Rameez Mehboob chipping in with 32 and 32 runs respectively. Panthers bowlers were out of sorts with Hamza Ali Khan taking 2 wickets but the batting side dominated throughout the innings. Karachi Gladiators ended at a mammoth total of 217 for 7 in 20 overs.
What Sami Afridi did with the bat, he followed up with the ball. However not to be outdone, Panthers star opener Madni Waqas Raja smashed a brilliant 114 run knock but Sami crept back in, taking 3 wickets in his spell to pull back the opposition! Eventually Hamza Ali Khan also knocked 28 runs in a hard fought battle that ended with Benitoz Panthers being limited to 205 for 5 in 20 overs.
