Ten Pearls batted first against Sons of Pitches in a friendly game at Eastern Star cricket ground. Opener and captain Ajdal Aziz was in sublime form contributing a brilliant 71 off 54. Zohaib Baig also chipped in with 21 before Sheraz Siddiquie kept the momentum going in his knock of 42 and the ever reliable Haq Nawaz stepped in with 33. With an all round strong batting performance, Sons of Pitches bowlers were out of sorts. with only Mujtaba and Vishal able to pick up a wicket each. Ten Pearls ended at 185 for 2 in 20 overs.
In response, Sons of Pitches came out with guns blazing. Openers Farhad and Noman contributed 30 and 31 runs respectively to set the foundation for their side. Once the pair were dismissed however, the team fell apart with only Babar Shaikh and Farhan able to put up a fight with cameos in their twenties. Sons of Pitches looked close to getting to the target but a wicket shattering spell of 3 wickets by Atta Ur Rehman and a solid display by the Ten Pearls bowling unit restricted the chasing side to 160 for 7 in 20 overs.
Ten Pearls won by 25 runs.
