Cocoon Home batted first against new entrants Terry World Tigers at the Legends Cup. The team lost their openers cheaply before one down Usama Balouch paired up with Maeez Waqar for a match defining partnership. Usama smashed an impressive 80 off just 50 balls while Maeez provided support on the other end with his 65 runs. Terry bowlers were out of sorts unable to break the strong hold until maximum damage had been done. Muhammad Waqas took 2 wickets for his side but an all round strong performance boosted Cocoon Home to a mammoth 199 for 5 in 20 overs.
In response, Terry World Tigers lost opener Kamil cheaply for just 4 runs. Hammad Sheikhani however was in prime form with his half century knock giving his side the boost it needed. The team fought back hard with cameos of 21, 27 and 23 that inched them closer to the target. A late surge of 34 by Taqi Azad pulled his team back in the game but they fell short by 7 runs. Shiraz Iqbal took 2 wickets for his side but Cocoon's bowlers were wayward, almost giving the game away with 25 extras.
Eventually, Cocoon Home won by 7 runs.
