Karachi All Stars batted first against Elite XI with their openers stepping out with intent. Faraz Wahid Khan was in prime form contributing a handy 44 to set his team up for a competitive total. His partner Saad also knocked 20 runs. Jahanzaib Niazi however was the real star for his side, shining impressively, scoring 78 off 37 including 6 boundaries and 5 sixes. Maisam took 2 wickets for Elite while the rest of the bowling unit tried to contain the opposition. Karachi All Stars ended at 188 for 4 in 17 overs.
In response, Elite XI were outdone by a fantastic display of bowling. After losing opener Shezad cheaply, the team struggled to gain stability. There were moments of hope with Asfar's 31 and Bilal's 33 but the chasing side desperately needed a partnership and an extrordinary innings to get over the line. All Stars bowlers continued to pick at the opposition with Maaz taking 3 wickets and skipper Ammar picking up a couple. Sami also took 2 wickets. Elite XI ended at 152 for 8 in 17 overs.
