Tristar batted first against Master Motors at the FAW FOAP tournament. The team however struggled to get going at any stage of the innings. After losing their top order cheaply, the team had to scramble to recovery. Naeem and Wajid Ansari tried to save their side with fighting knocks of 22 and 27 as Tristar ended at 79 for 4 in 8 overs. Owais Intikhab and Azeem took 2 wickets each.
In response, Master Motors lost opener Ayaz for just 6 runs but recovered well after that. His partner Waseef paired up with an in-form Ahsan Iqbal to get his side over the line. Waseef contributed 20 but Ahsan was the real star of the day. His blistering 41 not out off just 16 balls took Master Motors to victory in 7.2 overs.
