Semi Finals#1- Gulshan Kings v Mighty Malir
Gulshan Kings batted first against Mighty Malir at the semi final of the GullyKaHero Tournament. Opener Syed Hassan smashed an impressive 57 runs and despite Ijaz being dismissed for duck, one down Arsal's 38 boosted Gulshan Kings to an impressive 98 for 1 in 6 overs. For Mighty Malir only Burhan was able to pick up a wicket!
In response, Mighty Malir was helpless in the face of an in-form ruthless Syed Hassan. His 3 wickets ripped through the Malir line up with the chasing side never able to recover. While Awais tried to fight hard with his 18, it was too little, too late as Might Malir ended at 53 for 7 in 6 overs. Wasif also took 2 wickets while Raheel picked up a wicket.
Gulshan Kings won by 45 runs and were through to the final.
Semi Final#2- North Tigers v Johar Giants
What a match this turned out to be! A thriller with a dramatic super over to end it all. Johar Giants batted first with Maqbool really taking the bowling head on. While the rest of the team struggled to keep their wickets intact, he played an anchor role with a blistering 48 at an astounding strike rate of over 250 to boost his side to 88 for 4 in 6 overs. Waseem was absolutely lethal with the ball, taking 3 wickets in his spell.
In response, North Tigers fought back with openers Saif and Rizwan's 34 and 21 getting things going. Maqbool however wasn't going to let things go easily. His 4 wickets and 2 quick run outs halted North Tigers plans as the match ended in a tie! 88 for 7 in 6 overs.
Super Over- North Tigers batted first with Saif and Rizwan scoring 13 in an over. Unfortunately for Johar Giants, they were only able to score 7 runs as North Tigers qualifed for the final.
