Bilal Associates batted first against Okhai Friends at the 6th Big Bash League. After opener Shahid Alam was dismissed for duck on his very first ball, things continued to fall apart for the batting side. While the top order was dismissed cheaply, the middle order stepped in to try and create stability. While Muhammad Khurram scored 28 runs, it was really Haider Ali who really came through for his side. His knock of 42 off just 29 runs included 3 sixes and 2 boundaries. He was further supported by Shamim Ahmed's 25 runs a Bilal Associates ended at 162 in 20 overs. Okhai Friends did well to keep the pressure on with Mohsin Haneef leading the attack, taking 3 wickets in his spell. Jamil Ghaziani also picked up a couple.
In response, Okhai Friends opener Ahmed Sharjeel simply stole the show! His 83 run innings included 7 boundaries and 6 sixes, carrying his side to victory. With Ahmed on one end, there was little the remaining batsmen needed to do to comfortably get over the line. Asim Imam knocked 20 and Fawad's blistering 33 took Okhai Friends home in just 15.5 overs. Bilal Associates bowlers were helpless against the onslaught with Moin Sheikh taking 2 wickets in vain.
Okhai Friends won by 7 wickets.
