Rims Lions batted first against Khas Memon Stars at the Memon Premier League (MPL) and lost their opener Salman for just 1 run. His partner Ahmed Moten however kept things going with a fiery 48 to lead from the front. The team continued to lose a few quick wickets before Rabish Ahmed's 21, Asad's 26 and Saleem's 20 tried to provide some stability and kept the scoreboard ticking. Stars bowlers did well to keep things tight, picking wickets when needed. Zeeshan Fattani and Hunain Usman took 2 wickets each as Rims Lions ended at 153 all out. There were also 3 run outs in the innings.
In response, Khas Memon Stars looked poised for the victory with opener Uzair and Hammad Sheikhani setting a solid foundation with knocks of 44 and 28 runs respectively. Amir Majeed, Noman Ampara and Hunain Usman all kept their team alive in the chase, contributing cameos to come closer to the target. In a surprise twist, there were 3 quick run outs and team fell short by just 1 run ending at 152 for 6 in 20 overs. Lions bowlers gave plenty away but somehow managed to get the job done.
