What a dominant victory by Bilal Associates at the Super Challengers t20 Cup!
Batting first, Bilal Associates were off to a flyer with Ahmed Hussain's brutal 42 off 16 that left the bowlers helpless. His partner Babar chipped in with 33 also before Ali Iqbal decided to take things into his own hands. The centurion could do no wrong with his 101 off 53 including 7 boundaries and 7 sixes. Zaid Associates bowlers could not break the strong hold and eventually gave away 223 runs taking only 4 wickets in the all important final. Rehan and Farhad took the 2 wickets each.
In response, Zaid Associates were never really in the game. After losing opener and one down batsmen for 1 and duck, the team required something extra ordinary to chase down the target. Faizan Malik and Farhad Pollard tried to fight back with 31 and 37 but were unable to build the innings. Arif Yaqoob was in prime form, taking 4 wickets while Waseem Ali provided support with his 3. Zaid Associates were bowled out for 122 in 17 overs.
Bilal Associates won by 101 runs and were crowned champions.
