Hill Park CC batted first against Alpha CC at the all important final of the Mercury Fashion Super Challengers Colour Shirt Final and completely fell apart! The team were simply outdone by an unplayable, brilliant displaying of bowling by the Alpha unit who bowled out the opposition for only 96 runs in 18.1 overs. Hill Park batsmen were out of sorts, unable to keep their wickets intact or the scoreboard ticking. Areeb Naveed lead the attack taking 3 for 10 in his spell while Daniyal Ahmed and Yousuf Halari kept the pressure on, taking 2 wickets each.
In response, Alpha CC stumbled early on in their chase with their opener and one down batsmen both being dismissed for duck. But with a low total to chase, the team recovered well with Yousuf Halari's 32 and Arsal Ali's 30 setting the foundation for a predictably comfortable victory. Hill Park's bowlers did try to fight back but it was simply too low a total to defend. Waqas Manzoor picked up 2 wickets for his side but Alpha CC chased down the target in 19.3 overs.
Alpha CC won by 4 wickets and were crowned champions.
