Trail Blazers Cricket Club played against Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP) at SKBZ Cricket Ground. IAP won the toss and batted first. Opener Rameez Mehboob got the team off to a solid start with 37 runs off 21 deliveries. Ahmed Nawaz with 29 and Amir Abbas with 22 continued to keep the scoreboard ticking before Trail Blazers picked up a few quick wickets. Kashif Rajput, however, remained undeterred and continued scoring aggressively while the subsequent batsmen through away their wickets eventually contributing 41 not out off just 18 balls. Nawaz also chipped in with 18 runs as IAP ended at a competitive score of 181 for 9 in 20 overs. For Blazers, Salman Rafiq Dossani was the key wicket taker with 3 scalps, Adeel Abbasi took 2 wickets while Murtaza , Afzal, Sameer , and Daniyal, picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Trail Blazers started off well as Tayyab R Balagamwala and Faisal Butt smashed 58 off 5 overs before Tayyab was out after scoring 27 off 18 balls. Faizan Mustafa was then dismissed for 15 runs before Faisal Butt took over. The star batsmen scored a match winning 77 runs not out off 46 deliveries only to be outdone by a blistering Muhammad Shahzad Anwar Arain (gullu), who scored a devastating 56 runs not out off just 24 deliveries with 6 mammoth sixes and 2 boundaries in this master blaster innings. IAP were unable to break the strong hold with only Nawaz and Nadeem taking a wicket each. Trail Blazers raced home with 15 balls to spare and won the match by 8 wickets.
