Alpha CC played against Dhoraji Stars at Annu Bhai Park as part of the 20th Challengers cup match. Alpha CC batted first and Fahad Saleem was out for a duck and Syed Inam Agha was out for 6 runs. Talha Iqbal was next to follow after scoring 16 runs and Yousuf Halari departed after scoring 6 runs as a flurry of wickets fell. Faizan then led the comeback with 60 runs and Arsal Ali assisted with 32 runs along with 21 extras which helped Alpha Star cc reach 200 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. A remarkable comeback after early setbacks faced by Alpha cc. For Dhoraji stars, Amin Sawani and Saad Dawood took 2 wickets each while Shoaib, Obaid, Owais and Azim picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Hasnain with 26 and Haris with 34 started off well for dhoraji stars but could not go on to make big scores and subsequently Ahmer Kunda scored 19 runs and Shoaib Chamdia knocked 38 runs but none of the other batsmen contributed much and Dhoraji Stars could only reach 168 for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. For Alpha CC, Jawad took 3 wickets, Yousuf and Faizan got 2 wickets each and Adeel and Zahoor picked up a wicket each.
Alpha CC won by 32 runs.
