MSL Season 3 Opens With a Bang

Tnp Titans and Defending Champions, Suleman Textile Stallions played the opening game of the Memon Super League season 3. Titans won the toss and decided to field first. Owais Pasta got rid of Rehan Tanoli for 5 runs while Fahad Jabbar followed after scoring 10 runs and Muhammad Asad also managed only 6 runs. Nauman Ampara with 39 runs and Shoaib Mirza with 44 runs then started the recovery and Waseem Ali hit 27 runs in the end to get their team to a competitive total of 151 for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.  For Titans, Waqar Salim took 3 wickets while Naveed Rangoonia, Abdul Samad and Owais Pasta got a wicket each.

In reply, Titans started off well but lost Bilal Umer for 14 runs but Ahmed Hussain at the other end was determined and got 45 runs. However, the middle order batsmen struggled and wickets kept falling as Ameer Raza got a duck and Kamran Butt was out for just 12 runs. Owais Pasta got 26 runs and Dawood Dawson fought back with 21 runs while Salman Moten brought his team close with 18 runs. The game went down to the wire and turned out to be a nail biting contest as Titans needed 4 off the last ball and Waqar Saleem managed to get 2 runs before being run out attempting the third run. In the end, Suleman Textile Stallions won by just 1 wicket. For Stallions, Rehan Tanoli took 4 wickets while Waqar Idrees got 2 wickets and Muhammad Asad and Muhammad Ali got a wicket each.
